Brand and web identity for a speculative candle company which offers beautifully crafted candles embedded with native wildflower seeds. Handcrafted with earth-friendly wax, the clay candles seek to reduce waste, support local pollinators, and rewild the spaces around us.

Wilding emerged from an extensive naming process and the client’s interest in rewilding public and private spaces. We identified sustainability as a key mission, one that asks consumers to learn more about the ecosystems around them and to engage with them meaningfully.

Cycles of life, renewal, and decay are central not only to this brand, but also to the ecosystems it seeks to reflect and restore. Through simple illustrations and detailed descriptions, Wilding seeks to make “sustainability” more transparent, and more actionable by the everyday consumer.  






Considering the packaging and product design needs for the brand, a set of three primary patterns based on core pollinators emerged. These patterns can be seen in both modular and organic interlocking applications.
